Care InstructionsUpdated a year ago
Whether your item is 100% cotton, wool or viscose, we recommend that you treat it with the utmost care. Let's take cotton yarn as an example, which is a natural fiber that is extremely sensitive to heat, moisture, but also to temperature fluctuations. If the care instructions are not followed, material movement may occur as the cotton fibers contract.
Our recommendations:
Wash your Tajinebanane items inside out. This will protect flocking or other imprints.
Allow garments to air dry, either hanging horizontally or on a clothes rack. Items are not tumble dryable.
Tips that can make all the difference:.
If you have a steam iron or steamer, you can steam the garment while it is still slightly damp, inside out and top to bottom, while stretching it slightly. The combination of heat and moisture will make your garment more pliable again.
Soak the garment overnight in lukewarm water with a mild baby shampoo to relax the fibers - rinse it the next day and gently wring it out with a towel. Then stretch it in different directions before hanging it flat to dry.
You can use these tricks on other brands of clothing with a clear conscience.
Stains
For stains (milk, food, deodorant, etc.), we recommend using gall soap from an organic/ health food store and/or sodium bircarbonate, which can sometimes work wonders.
Wear
Despite all the care taken in the manufacturing process and the quality of the materials, "normal" wear and tear may occur over time, as the items are often used more frequently and intensively than ordinary garments.
